CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2009 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR AWARD WINNERS!

Flanked by Chamber of Commerce President Ann Marie DeWeese and Rotary Club President Bill Calderara are Jim Gulalo of Preferred Insurance Services (Category I winner) and Mary Griffin of T R Paul Inc (Category II winner).

 

On Monday, March 22, 2010 the winners of the 2009 Newtown Business of the Year were announced.  In Category I, the winner was Preferred Insurance Services, represented by Owner and Rotarian Jim Gulalo.  The other finalists in this category included Allstate Insurance (K. Michael Snyder Agency) and Sal e Pepe Restaurant.  In Category II, the winner was T R Paul Inc, represented by President and Rotarian Mary Griffin.  The other finalists in this category included Caldwell & Walsh Building Construction and Union Savings Bank.  For more information click HERE for the Newtown Bee article on this event. 

 

In 2003, the Rotary Club of Newtown in partnership with the Newtown Chamber of Commerce co-sponsored the first Newtown Business of the Year recognition award.  The goal of this award is to recognize those Newtown businesses that also contribute extraordinarily to the Newtown community through their volunteer efforts, financial support, and in-kind contributions.  Each year, a business with 25 or fewer employees (Category I) and a business with more than 25 employees (Category II) is selected for this award.  The previous award winners are:
